NBSC-ITE BECEd Research Extension Project Rolls Out Phase II of Training-Workshop on 3rd Quarter Teaching Guide Making under SuL2IP
The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) Program of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE), through its Research Extension Project, successfully rolled out Phase II of the Training-Workshop on 3rd Quarter Teaching Guide Making under the Sustainable Learning and Linkage to Isolated Places (SuL²IP) initiative. The activity was held on September 3–4, 2025, at Dream Golftel, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The workshop was jointly headed by Noraisah U. Radaza, ITE Research Extension Coordinator, and Dr. Christine C. Royo, Program Head of ITE. Their leadership ensured that Phase II continued to provide relevant strategies and meaningful capacity-building for grassroots educators.
The training featured Dr. Shaunell Mary J. Sayson, Faculty of the College of Education, Early Childhood Education Department, Bukidnon State University (BSU), as the Resource Speaker. Dr. Sayson delivered sessions on session plan components, developmental domains, and teacher’s guide essentials, and facilitated collaborative workshops that enabled participants to produce learner-responsive instructional materials.
Participants included ITE faculty and staff, research extension staff, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) representatives, Child Development Center (CDC) workers, and teachers from the partner barangays of Maluko, Santiago, and Guilang-guilang.
A highlight of the program was the turnover of Big Books to MSWD representatives and CDC teachers, underscoring NBSC’s dedication to supporting early childhood education through tangible community linkages and sustainable learning resources.
Through this initiative, the NBSC-ITE BECEd Extension Project continues its mission to empower educators, strengthen instructional practices, and expand quality learning opportunities in geographically isolated communities.
