NBSC Alumnus Earns International Postgraduate Scholarship in Taiwan
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly celebrates the achievement of Kenneth Lloyd Calunsag Licuanan, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Institute for Computer Studies (ICS), Batch 2025, who has qualified for a prestigious scholarship opportunity abroad.
Licuanan was selected through the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE) Program, a Taiwan-based initiative designed to provide scholarships and support for master’s and post-baccalaureate degree aspirants. His qualification came after a special presentation facilitated by the program, which partners with the INTACT Base Office Philippines to assist Filipino scholars in accessing international education opportunities.
The International Affairs and External Linkages Office (IAELO) together with the Community Extension Services Division (CESD) of NBSC also played a vital role in facilitating Licuanan’s journey, providing guidance and institutional support throughout the application process. With the strong support of SUC President I Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, EdD, CESE, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, and the Institute for Computer Studies (ICS) headed by Shiela Mae M. Orozco, MIT, this milestone was made possible.
Through this scholarship, Licuanan will pursue advanced studies at Kun Shan University under the Automation Engineer Special Class (CHIMEI) program. This opportunity will allow him to develop specialized expertise in automation engineering, aligning with global demands for innovation and technology-driven industries.
Set to depart the Philippines on September 24, 2025, Licuanan expressed his gratitude to NBSC leadership, IAELO, CESD, ICS, the INTENSE Program, and the INTACT Base Office Philippines for paving the way toward this milestone in his academic and professional journey.
His success serves as an inspiration to fellow NBSC students and alumni, highlighting the impact of dedication, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence in accessing global opportunities.
