NBSC Strengthens Commitment to National Development at 2nd Executive Forum 2025
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proudly participated in the 2nd Executive Forum 2025 held under the leadership of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III, D.Eng, PCpE, on September 19, 2025 at the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Main Campus. NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D, CESE, joined fellow higher education leaders in meaningful dialogue aimed at shaping the future of Philippine higher education.
The plenary session served as a vital platform for strengthening collaboration between State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and CHED leadership. Discussions centered on synchronizing institutional strategies with the Philippine Development Plan and enhancing the impact of higher education in driving inclusive and sustainable national progress.
A key highlight of the session was CHED’s presentation of its strategic policy framework for 2025 and the coming years. These directions, guided by the ongoing reforms under the ACHIEVE (Advanced and Accessible Lifelong Learning; Centralized Human Capital Development; Harmonized SDG-Based Research and Innovation; Integrated Real-Time Data and Analytics; Expanded Internationalization Strategies; Vitalized Policies and Governance; and Effective and Efficient Public Service) Agenda, aim to elevate academic standards, expand access, and promote innovation across institutions. Dr. Ganiera affirmed NBSC’s support for these initiatives, emphasizing its role as an active partner in educational transformation.
NBSC remains steadfast in its mission to contribute meaningfully to national development through quality education, research, and community engagement. Its participation in high-level forums such as this reflects its dedication to aligning its academic and administrative processes with regulatory standards and the evolving demands of the 21st-century workforce.
