CHED Lauds NBSC for Achieving Full Program Compliance
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) commended Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) for attaining 100% program compliance under the Outcome-Based and Compliance-Driven Regulatory Assessment – Strategic Performance Indicators System (OCDRA-SPIsys), as announced during the NBSC Board of Trustees (BOT) second quarter regular meeting on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The OCDRA-SPIsys is CHED’s digital monitoring and evaluation tool designed to streamline the assessment of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), ensuring efficiency and accountability in compliance reporting.
CHED Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III, D.Eng., PCpE emphasized that the achievement reflects NBSC’s dedication to delivering quality higher education aligned with national development goals.
Beyond the commendation, Commissioner Apag also expressed his commitment to supporting NBSC’s aspirations to elevate its status from college to university. He noted future plans for the institution to expand its academic offerings, including graduate programs, and to pursue accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
This milestone highlights NBSC’s growing capacity to provide transformative education and strengthen its role as a partner in regional and national development.
