DEPED REGION X CITES DR. ACUESA’S EXPERTISE AS PANELIST WITH NORMIN STAR AWARD
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), through its Research, Development, and Innovation Division (RDID) led by Director Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, gained distinction when the Department of Education (DepEd) Region X – Northern Mindanao recognized Dr. Acuesa with the NorMin Star Award for her significant contributions to the 2025 Regional Research Conference.
Drawing on her notable expertise and service as a Panelist, Dr. Acuesa was conferred the NorMin Star Award by Regional Director Dr. Arturo B. Bayocot, CESO III, on December 11, 2025, at the De Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
The award acknowledges Dr. Acuesa’s vital role in steering discussions around the conference theme, “Data-Driven Innovation: Advancing Research Excellence for Sustainable Regional Development.” Her insights were instrumental in shaping the discourse on how data can be utilized to foster progress across the region.
This recognition highlights NBSC’s active role in the wider research community. By engaging with regional bodies and contributing high-level expertise to critical dialogues, the institution solidifies its standing as a key partner in development. It demonstrates that the knowledge cultivated within the college is not only academically rigorous but also instrumental in driving tangible, sustainable improvements for Northern Mindanao.
