NBSC Advances ISO Internal Quality Audit with Day 2 Evaluations
Following the successful conduct of Day 1, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) proceeded with Day 2 of its ISO Internal Quality Audit (IQA) on September 9, 2025. The second round of evaluations maintained the same rigor, this time focusing on additional academic institutes, student service divisions, and administrative offices. The activity highlighted the College’s sustained commitment to quality and its drive for continuous improvement across all facets of operation.
The Institute for Teacher Education, headed by Dr. Christine C. Royo, was audited by Ms. Jay Shell D. Coquilla, while the Institute for Business Management, under Ms. Ma. Cassandra R. Tubongbanua, underwent its audit facilitated by Ms. Ma. Socorro T. Bonita. Similarly, the Institute for Computer Studies, led by Ms. Shiela Mae Orozco, was reviewed by Mr. Jan G. Soriano.
The audit also covered major student-focused divisions. The Student Affairs, Services, and Development Division, headed by Ms. Rowena E. Bagongon, was audited by Engr. Eleonor L. Navales. Meanwhile, the National Service Training Program (NSTP), under the leadership of Mr. John Mark L. Boyonas, and the KALAMPUSAN Program Office, led by Dr. Mary Cris Go, were both audited by Ms. Khristine Joy P. Gubaton. The Office of the College and Board Secretary, managed by Ms. Caroline Laarni P. Sereñas, was likewise reviewed by Ms. Gubaton.
Further extending the scope of the Day 2 audit, the Student Publication Office, headed by Mr. Jovenell Dadulla, and the Culture and Arts Office, under Mr. Antony D. Sanchez, were assessed by Engr. Jestoni G. Tortola. In the field of research, the Research, Development, and Innovation Division, led by Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, was audited by Ms. Nikki Lou F. Malinao.
Administrative and support services were also included in the day’s activities. The Records and Archival Office, headed by Ms. Aiza Mae Bontuyan, together with the Documents and Records Control function within the same office, were audited by Dr. Anna Marie D. Genita. The Supply and Property Management Office, under Mr. Jerome S. Abaton, was reviewed by Mr. Aldwin M. Martinez. Additionally, the Admission, Testing, and Appraisal Office, led by Mr. Franco Caesar M. Agbalog, and the Student Accounts, Scholarship Aids, and Financial Assistance Office, also under his leadership, were audited by Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas.
Day 2 of the IQA showcased the institution’s transparency and its collective effort to uphold quality standards across both academic and support services. The findings will serve as vital inputs for continuous improvement, ensuring that NBSC maintains compliance with its Quality Management System while striving to provide the highest level of service to its stakeholders.
