NBSC BENCHMARKING ACTIVITY STRENGTHENS PATHWAYS FOR FUTURE ACADEMIC OFFERINGS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) successfully conducted a benchmarking activity on January 21, 2026, as part of its strategic initiatives to enhance academic planning and prepare for future program offerings. The activity was spearheaded by the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID), headed by Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, led by Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa. The benchmarking activity was participated in by Institute Heads, Program Coordinators, and key academic personnel.
At PHINMA – Cagayan de Oro College (COC PHINMA Education), the NBSC delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Dr. Gerry J. Caño, who shared valuable insights on the establishment, implementation, and sustainability of the BS Criminology program. The discussions provided practical guidance on curriculum design, regulatory compliance, and best practices in criminology education.
Meanwhile, at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), the delegation was received by the College of Economics, Business, and Accountancy, through its College Dean, Dr. Maria Rizalia Y. Teves, who presented a comprehensive discussion on the BS Entrepreneurship program, highlighting its curriculum framework and industry-oriented approach. In addition, the College of Education of MSU-IIT, led by College Dean Dr. Amelia T. Buan, together with her faculty members, warmly welcomed the NBSC delegation and shared best practices relevant to the enhancement of BEED and BSED programs.
Overall, the benchmarking activity was deemed a success and paved the way for NBSC’s future academic offerings. The insights and best practices gained from the partner institutions are expected to significantly support NBSC’s program development initiatives. The College strongly believes that the future offering of these programs will create a meaningful and lasting impact on students, the institution, and the communities it serves in the years to come.
