NBSC Develops TOT and TLA Researchers’ Potential in Capacity-Building Writeshop
NBSC successfully conducted the capacity-building writeshop that enhanced the research capabilities of participants involved in the Training of Trainers (TOT) and Teacher Leadership Academy (TLA) programs. The event, facilitated by Ms. Charry Mae C. Grepon, the TOT/TLA focal person, occurred on April 30, 2025, at the Student Welfare and Development Center.
The writeshop featured an inspiring opening message from Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, who emphasized the importance of research in driving educational innovation and improvement. Her words set a motivational tone for the day, encouraging participants to engage deeply in crafting their research manuscripts and proposals.
The participants, including TOT/TLA research proponents and other attendees, worked together to craft their research paper. Presentation of outputs by notable participants included: Ms. Marchilyn Abunda who shared their proposed study on the role and application of GitHub, Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan presented his publishable article focusing on assessing new state college’s readiness for accreditation, and Dr. Maria Lorena Candia shared her plans on conducting research addressing crucial gaps involving students’ speaking English fluency. Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa also shared her inputs during the event. Their presentations showcase and highlight the creativity and dedication of every participant.
Dr. Helen E. Maasin closes the activity with her words, encouraging all participants to continue their research journeys and apply the skills and knowledge gained during the workshop, reinforcing the commitment to continue and finish the research they have started.
The organizing team, headed by Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, extends its heartfelt gratitude to the College President, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, and Dr. Helen E. Maasin, Vice President for Administration and Finance, for their outpouring support that led to the activity’s success.
