NBSC Executive Committee Sets Strategic Direction for 2026 and Prepares for Graduation
The Executive Committee of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held a pivotal strategic meeting on June 18, 2025, at the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC). The meeting focused on aligning institutional initiatives with national and regional development priorities. Key items on the agenda included the 2026 Annual Operational Plan, graduation preparations, personnel matters, and systems development.
The meeting commenced with the introduction of newly appointed heads in the Legal, Public Affairs, Budget, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) offices. Discussions emphasized the reappointment of Job Order (JO) personnel, highlighting the importance of aligning roles with appropriate salary grades and addressing staffing needs across units to ensure operational efficiency.
In alignment with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), Regional Development Plan (RDP), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), each unit is required to submit its Annual Operational Plan for 2026 by July 30. These submissions will also serve as foundational inputs for the formulation of NBSCโs forthcoming seven-year Strategic Development Plan.
Preparations for the 2025 Graduation Ceremony and Baccalaureate Mass are in full swing. Budget coordination is underway, and academic honors and recognition plans have been outlined. All academic staff are expected to attend the ceremonies in complete academic regalia.
The Committee was also briefed on the progress of the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS), which is being developed to centralize and streamline academic, financial, and administrative functions.
Additionally, proposals to incorporate emotional intelligence and psychological assessment tools into future faculty and leadership training programs were presented, underscoring NBSCโs commitment to holistic professional development.
Other matters discussed included enrollment updates, a comprehensive review of the College Code, and clarifications on administrative policies such as training-related compensation and standard office procedures.
As NBSC advances toward its long-term goals, the Executive Committee remains steadfast in its commitment to strategic foresight, institutional excellence, and student-centered success.
