NBSC Holds Orientation on Performance Management through IMIS Training
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), in partnership with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), conducted an orientation on Performance Management as part of the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) Training Series on August 20, 2025, at the Dreams Golftel and Residences, San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The activity supports NBSC’s digitalization initiatives in line with the Regional Development Council-X Resolution No. 108 (s. 2024) and Republic Act No. 11032, the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D, CESE, warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the training series in positioning NBSC toward greater institutional advancement. She also shared best practices she has implemented in her leadership journey.
The session was led by Mr. Jonathan O. Jacobo, Director of USTP’s Digital Transformation Office, and his team. He presented the Government Integrated Administrative Management System (GIAMS), an enterprise resource planning platform designed to streamline administrative and government-related processes in higher education institutions.
Topics discussed also included Work and Planning Management, Output vs. Outcome, Strategic Goal Alignment, and the integration of the Work and Financial Plan (WFP) with the Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR).
“We put too much work into paperwork and forget about the real job we’re supposed to do. This system will help reduce the time spent on paperwork and allow us to focus on the real work that matters,” Mr. Jacobo noted during his presentation.
The event was organized by NBSC’s Research, Development, and Innovation Division, led by Director Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, with the strong support of Dr. Ganiera.
This initiative marks a significant step in NBSC’s journey toward digital transformation, aligning the institution with progressive State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Philippines that are adopting innovative technologies for more efficient, transparent, and responsive service delivery.
