NBSC HOSTS DBM-ROX PH OGP 101 INFORMATION SESSION
The Department of Budget and Management – Regional Office X (DBM-ROX) conducted the “PH OGP 101” Information Session for the Academe under the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP) – OGPinas! Nationwide Advocacy Campaign on May 21, 2026, at Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC). Held at the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC) Rooms 306-307, the session gathered administrative personnel, faculty members, and students for an orientation on the Open Government Partnership and the Philippine OGP movement.
DBM-ROX Regional Director Nonito H. Dela Cruz delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of forging stronger connections with schools such as NBSC to help expand public awareness and involvement in initiatives centered on transparency and citizen participation.
College President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, welcomed the participants and acknowledged the value of engagements that expose the NBSC community to current national programs and discussions.
Senior Budget Management Specialist Mark Welnorr M. Callao and Chief Administrative Officer Jezreel Mark C. Baltazar presented an overview of the initiative and how it is being carried out through ongoing reforms shaped by shared work among national and local stakeholders. An open forum followed, allowing attendees to raise questions and interact directly with the speakers.
The activity concluded with a closing message from DBM-ROX Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Assistant Regional Director Eunice B. Villamor, who emphasized the continuing importance of cooperation among sectors in supporting efforts related to openness, accountability, and public engagement.
For NBSC, the engagement served as a meaningful link to broader national efforts that encourage transparent and responsive governance practices. It also gave participants a clearer understanding of broader initiatives aimed at strengthening integrity in public service and building public trust.
