NBSC ICS Graduating Students Explore Postgraduate Study Opportunities in Taiwan
Graduating students from the Institute of Computer Studies (ICS) at Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) were recently introduced to exciting opportunities for international postgraduate education through a special presentation on the INTENSE Program, a Taiwan-based initiative offering scholarships and support for master’s and post-baccalaureate degree aspirants.
The session was led by Ms. Tina Chang, Project Manager of the INTENSE Program, and Ms. Joy Fojas, General Manager of the INTACT Base Office Philippines, who shared comprehensive information on how students can pursue advanced studies in Taiwan through the program.
The Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID) Director, Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, warmly welcomed the distinguished visitors and the students and faculty present during the orientation.
Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, SUC President III, encouraged the students to take this opportunity and go the extra mile.

As introduced by CHED Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III., one of the notable collaborators for the INTENSE Program is Kun Shan University (KSU), a leading institution in Taiwan offering a range of engineering-related postgraduate programs. The university is one of NBSC’s international partners in this initiative.
According to the latest update, 43 graduating ICS students from NBSC have applied to the program, with 26 choosing Kun Shan University as their preferred institution.
The programs introduced include:

Students were advised to contact the NBSC International Affairs and External Linkages Office (IAELO), headed by Mr. Alven L. Gomez, for details on course offerings and benefits under each track. These include industry immersion, tuition support, and pathways to employment after program completion.
Open to graduating students and recent college graduates, the INTENSE Program offers a valuable platform to gain international exposure, earn advanced degrees, and boost one’s global employability.
With the growing demand for globally competent professionals, NBSC’s engagement with partners such as Kun Shan University and the INTENSE Program marks a significant step in empowering students to thrive in a competitive global environment.
