NBSC Welcomes PNP Manolo Fortich for Courtesy Call and Launch of Field Training Program
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) formally welcomed officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Manolo Fortich on July 1, 2025, for a courtesy call and the official launch of the PNP’s Field Training Program (FTP).
The FTP is a hands-on learning initiative under the Special Training Unit of PNP Regional Office 10. It includes three phases: Patrol, Traffic, and Investigation, each lasting two months. NBSC is among the designated locations for the Patrol Phase, which begins today. Twelve police trainees will be deployed on shift duty throughout the program.
Police Senior Master Sergeants (PSMS) Joey Santoninio, Christian Dale Carlos, and Edie Ongayo Abang led the visit. They met with NBSC officials led by Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, Supervising Administrative Officer; Mr. Fritchar Guevero, Head of the General Services Unit; Mr. Jan G. Soriano of the Public Affairs and Information Office; and Mr. Michael Conrad M. Casicas.
The Field Training Program also strengthens the community-oriented initiatives of PCAD Manolo Fortich (Police Community Affairs and Development), which focuses on public engagement, outreach programs, and sustainable partnerships with local institutions like NBSC. Meanwhile, operational functions such as patrols, response, and law enforcement continue under the PNP’s OPN (Operations) unit.
With the municipality’s current police-to-population ratio at 1:2,500, NBSC supports the FTP’s goal of enhancing police presence, safety, and community collaboration. The institution looks forward to working closely with PNP Manolo Fortich in the weeks ahead.
