NBSC’s 1st Internal Quality Audit Begins Today
In line with its preparation for ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) officially commenced its first Internal Quality Audit today, September 8, 2025.
From September 8 to 12, a total of 12 internal auditors will be deployed to assess the compliance of each office and division with the institution’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which have been in effect since July 25, 2025. To date, 169 SOPs have been documented for implementation across the college.
During the Internal Quality Audit Opening Meeting held via Zoom, the entire institution was oriented on the audit process and schedule. The session was delivered by Internal Audit Services (IAS) Head Ms. Jayshell O. Coquilla and facilitated by the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), led by Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan and his team.
The audit will cover interviews, document reviews, audit sampling, physical inspections, calculations, verifications, observations, walkthroughs, and calibrations. Each office and division will be audited based on the schedule set by the internal auditing team.
This milestone institutional audit seeks to determine whether NBSC’s services and processes conform to organizational and international standards, as well as to ensure that products and services are effectively implemented.
