Northern Bukidnon State College Research Office Unveils New Research Laboratory
In a significant move towards fostering a culture of continuous learning and research, the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) Research Office proudly announced the opening of its Research Laboratory on October 17, 2024. This initiative is a testament to the institution’s commitment to its core values and the overarching mission of promoting lifelong learning among its community.
Strategically located on the ground floor of the Student Welfare and Development Office, the Research Laboratory is designed to be a haven for students and faculty engaged in various research endeavors. The facility is well-equipped with modern technology, featuring fifty (50) tablets and thirty (30) laptops, all supported by licensed software, including the renowned SPSS. This setup ensures users can access the necessary tools for comprehensive research and analysis.
Showing support for the cause, the College President, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, was present during the event with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jovelyn G., along with the Research Office team. Students also had the opportunity to test the utilities during the opening.
The Research Laboratory operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing ample time for the NBSC community to utilize these resources effectively. This generous provision underscores the institution’s dedication to enhancing the research capabilities of its students and faculty, thereby contributing to advancing knowledge and improving society.
This initiative is expected to significantly impact the quality of research produced by the NBSC community, further cementing the college’s reputation as a leading institution in pursuing academic excellence and innovation. The Research Director, Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, heads the office.
