NBSC ENGAGES IN Q1 REGULAR MEETING FOR FY 2026
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) actively engaged in the 1st Quarter Regular Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, held on April 15, 2026, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Quezon City, reaffirming its commitment to sound governance, fiscal responsibility, and academic excellence.
Presided over by CHED Commissioner Michelle Aguilar Ong, Chairperson-Designate of the Board, the session brought together BOT members to discuss key policy directions, financial updates, infrastructure projects, academic initiatives, and strategic partnerships. These efforts aim to further strengthen NBSC’s role as a leading state higher education institution in Northern Mindanao.
Among the key financial matters discussed were the acceptance of NBSC’s Financial Status Reports as of December 31, 2025, and March 23, 2026, the approval of the Revised Program of Receipts and Expenditures for FY 2026, and the updated Annual Procurement Plan (APP) Non-CSE. The Board also considered several authority-to-procure requests for priority projects and institutional programs.
Significant infrastructure developments were highlighted, including variation orders for the 4-Storey TEP Innovation Building for Hybrid Learning, Phase I, and the Construction of the Main Gate and Guardhouse, reflecting the College’s continued investment in modern and functional campus facilities.
The Board also reviewed policies aimed at improving internal operations and resource management, such as the Utilization and Management of Income Generated by the Income Generation Program Office (IGPO), the NBSC CCTV Policy, and the proposed operations of the Indigenous Culture and Creative Innovation (ICCI) Hub.
In the area of partnerships and innovation, the Board examined proposed Memoranda of Understanding with local institutions, including Central Mindanao University and La Salle University-Ozamiz City, as well as international universities such as University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Kun Shan University, and Universitas Dinamika. These collaborations are expected to enhance opportunities for research, extension, academic exchange, and global engagement.
On academic matters, the Board approved the List of Candidates for Graduation for the First Semester of Academic Year 2025-2026, marking another milestone in student achievement.
Through its active participation in the meeting, NBSC continues to uphold transparency, strategic leadership, and the advancement of quality education, community empowerment, and innovation, reinforcing its mission to shape futures and contribute to nation-building.
