NBSC LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER CONDUCTS BENCHMARKING ACTIVITY AT BUKIDNON STATE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
The Northern Bukidnon State College Learning Resource Center (NBSC-LRC) conducted a benchmarking activity at the Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Library on May 26, 2026, to explore best practices, innovations, and service enhancements in academic library management.
The NBSC delegation was composed of Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, Mr. Michael Q. Mosquera, Ms. Aira O. Nodalo, Ms. Pinky Grace P. Castillo, Ms. Jessel Mae G. Parpan, and Mr. Cyril C. Olita. During the visit, the team observed BukSU’s learning commons, library facilities, and user-centered services aimed at improving academic support and student engagement.
The benchmarking activity was formally welcomed by Ms. Christie M. Esperon, Head of Presidential External Affairs and Public Relations and Program Facilitator, together with Ms. Chandrani Yves E. Estrada, MLIS, Supervisor of Libraries, who facilitated the presentation of BukSU Library operations, programs, and innovations.
One of the highlights of the activity was the strengthening of institutional collaboration between NBSC and BukSU. Through the engagement, NBSC-LRC was given the opportunity to participate in a journal exchange program through its membership in the library association. In addition, the NBSC-LRC Head received two academic journals that will serve as additional learning resources for the college library.
The NBSC-LRC also expressed its gratitude to BukSU President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol for approving the activity, to the BukSU Library personnel for their warm accommodation and support, and to NBSC College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, for her continued encouragement in advancing library development initiatives.
The benchmarking activity further strengthened NBSC-LRC’s commitment to continuous improvement by providing valuable insights into effective library systems, procedures, and innovative academic support services. Through engagements such as this, Northern Bukidnon State College continues to enhance the quality of its learning resources and institutional services in support of academic excellence, research, and student development.
