NBSC AND 52ND ENGINEER BRIGADE RENEW PARTNERSHIP THROUGH MOU SIGNING

Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for its Inter-Local Agency Partnership (ILAP) with the 52nd Engineer Brigade of the Philippine Army on June 3, 2026, at the NBSC Boardroom. The agreement affirms the continuation of the partnership between the two institutions and provides a basis for future initiatives that support their respective mandates.

Mr. Alven L. Gomez, MSEST, Director of the Community Extension Services Division (CESD), welcomed the representatives from both institutions and highlighted the significance of sustaining partnerships that bring organizations together in pursuit of shared objectives. This was followed by the statement of purpose delivered by Mr. Julius S. Gabinete, DM, Assistant Project Leader, who outlined the rationale behind the signing of the MOU.

In his message of support, Vice-President for Administration and Finance Mr. John Kevin A. Artuz, JD, described the partnership as an important undertaking for both institutions. He shared that integrity serves as the foundation of every lasting partnership and expressed confidence that the continued engagement would yield meaningful and measurable outcomes. He likewise conveyed his optimism for many more years of productive relations between NBSC and the 52nd Engineer Brigade.

Speaking on behalf of the Brigade, Major Junmar M. Tutoy (CE) PA expressed his appreciation for the five years of partnership between the two institutions. He acknowledged the dedication and passion that have sustained their working relationship and thanked those who have contributed to its growth over the years.

Colonel Ervin C. Divinagracia emphasized the broader purpose behind public service, noting that the work of institutions extends beyond the completion of physical projects. He remarked that communities remain at the center of such efforts and stressed that effectiveness is ultimately reflected in the satisfaction of the people being served.

The event culminated in the signing of the MOU, with Mr. John Kevin A. Artuz, JD, signing on behalf of NBSC President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, and Colonel Ervin C. Divinagracia signing on behalf of Brigadier General Frederick A. Ancheta. The program then concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Gomez, who thanked the participants for their presence and support of the undertaking.

Through engagements such as the ILAP, NBSC continues to strengthen its role as a partner in initiatives that extend beyond academic instruction. By fostering productive relationships with organizations from various sectors, the College broadens the avenues through which its expertise and resources may contribute to the needs of the communities it serves.
