NBSC COMPLETES STAGE 2 EXTERNAL AUDIT, RECOMMENDED FOR ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) has been recommended for ISO 9001:2015 certification following the successful completion of its Stage 2 External Audit on June 8-9, 2026, at the NBSC Campus. The audit, carried out by auditors from SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. (SCPI), evaluated the College’s readiness for certification by assessing the implementation and effectiveness of its quality management system across institutional operations.
Throughout the two-day assessment, the audit team reviewed key academic and administrative processes through interviews, document verification, records examination, and on-site observations. The evaluation covered a wide range of areas, including instructional delivery, quality assurance mechanisms, regulatory compliance, risk management practices, resource management, and documented procedures. The auditors also examined how established policies are translated into day-to-day operations and how NBSC monitors and improves its services.
The audit provided a comprehensive review of NBSC’s management system, focusing on its ability to consistently meet applicable requirements while supporting the needs of its stakeholders. By examining evidence from various divisions, offices, and units, the auditors verified that quality standards are embedded within institutional processes and are supported by documented controls, performance monitoring measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Based on the audit findings, the audit team recommended NBSC for ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking a significant milestone in the College’s commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The achievement was shaped by the contributions of faculty members, staff, and officials across the College who worked toward a common objective. What began as months of preparation and documentation culminated in a result that reflected the work carried out throughout the campus. It also highlights the capacity of the NBSC community to come together in meeting a shared goal under a rigorous external review.
