NBSC EMPLOYEES TAKE PART IN LET’S GET LOUD SINGING CONTEST
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held Let’s Get Loud, a singing contest for its employees, on July 1, 2026, at the NBSC Covered Court under its Health and Wellness Program. Organized through the combined efforts of the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) and the Health and Wellness Committee with the support of College President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, the event featured representatives from the six teams in a friendly vocal showdown.
The representatives were Daisy Mae T. Fuentes of the Blue Marlins; Nelson B. Encarnacion of the Green Gators; Mia Marisol M. Magpulong of the Pink Panthers; Robert Nick U. Amora of the Purple Dinos; Eva Mae P. Layosa of the Red Stallions; and Mike P. Custodio of the Yellow Leopards.
Prior to the event, each contestant submitted three song choices. Before the performances began, one song from each of their lists was selected through a draw, determining the piece to be performed on stage.
The contestants were evaluated by a panel chaired by John Kevin A. Artuz, JD, Vice President for Administration and Finance, together with Anthony D. Sanchez, MAEd, Head of the Culture and Arts Development Office (CADO), and Ariel S. Torayno of the Accounting Office. Employees in attendance also cast their votes through an online voting system while the contest was underway.
As the panel finalized its scores and the online voting came to a close, Mr. Artuz entertained the audience with a song, Mr. Torayno presented a dance number, while Mr. Sanchez delivered a song-and-dance performance. A roulette draw followed to determine the next representative for the August run of Let’s Get Loud.
When the final results were announced, Mr. Custodio of the Yellow Leopards emerged as champion. Ms. Fuentes of the Blue Marlins was named First Runner-up, while Ms. Magpulong of the Pink Panthers secured the Second Runner-up title.
More than recognizing outstanding vocal ability, the initiative created opportunities for personnel from different offices to interact in a relaxed setting, contributing to a workplace culture that values participation, cooperation, and the well-being of its workforce.
