NBSC Acquires the Follett Destiny Library Manager and Conducts Face-To-Face Training on the Use of the Software
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) recently acquired the Follett Destiny Library Manager for its college library. A face-to-face training session was conducted from October 11 to October 13, 2023, at the NBSC Library to provide an in-depth understanding of the Follett Destiny Library Manager and empower library staff to maximize the utility of this versatile platform. The comprehensive training program covered various aspects, including Features of Destiny Library Manager, Library Policies, Cataloging, OPAC, Circulation, reporting, and inventory management.
The Follett Destiny Library Manager is a powerful tool that will enable the NBSC library to efficiently manage its collections and provide students with seamless access to educational resources. This, in turn, ensures the effective operation of the library and supports the success of both students and faculty in their research activities. The participants in the training included Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, the Director of Libraries, along with key members of the library staff: Mr. Michael Q. Mosquera, Mr. Joie Marjun L. Garciano, Ms. Jessel G. Parpan, Ms. Pinky Grace P. Castillo, and Ms. Aira O. Nodalo. The training was skillfully delivered by two expert speakers from Electronic Information Solutions Inc. (EISI), Mr. Edward P. Arcilla and Mr. Raymon S. Bodino, who successfully imparted their knowledge and expertise to the library team.
