NBSC and DTI Empower Future Entrepreneurs Through YEP 2026
Student leaders of Northern Bukidnon State College took a meaningful step toward becoming future entrepreneurs and changemakers as the Auxiliary Services Division conducted a seminar-training on February 4, 2026, at the 2nd Floor, SWDC, Northern Bukidnon State College, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP). More than just a learning session, the activity became a space for sharing ideas, building confidence, and discovering how entrepreneurship can create positive change within the campus and the community.
One of the most engaging parts of the program was an interactive brainstorming session. Students talked about the challenges they face at NBSC and exchanged ideas for projects and initiatives to address these issues. This discussion encouraged creativity and teamwork, providing both the student leaders and the Auxiliary Services Division with a clearer direction for prioritizing initiatives that could better serve the College community.
The session benefited from insights by resource speaker Mr. Laurence Pradia. His experiences and encouragement inspired participants to view entrepreneurship not only as a career but also as a way to support the community. The activity was led by the Director for the Auxiliary Services Division, Elaine Marie J. Ombina, along with Mr. Hisham P. Danluyan and Ms. Blissie Marie Panales, who were dedicated to making this vision a reality.
This initiative reflects the strong vision and continued support of the College Management, led by College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, with the guidance of Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa and OIC-CAO Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, and with the active involvement of Director for Student Affairs Services Development Division Ms. Rowena E. Bagongon, MA, and Dwight Ferdinand C. Navarro, President of the Central Student Government, all working together to empower students to lead, innovate, and actively contribute to the growth of NBSC.
Through programs like this, NBSC nurtures not only skilled learners but also compassionate leaders who are ready to find solutions for their school and community.
