NBSC and PWU Formalize Partnership for “Project PANATAG” in Bukidnon
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) and the Philippine Women’s University (PWU) officially forged a partnership today, August 27, 2025, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Bukidnon leg of “Project PANATAG”. The signing ceremony, held at the NBSC Central Admin Building Boardroom, positions the state college as a key partner for the nationwide arts initiative’s activities within the province.
The agreement was signed by NBSC President, Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, and PWU’s Project PANATAG Director, Ms. Josephine Turalba. In her remarks, Dr. Villanueva-Ganiera hailed the collaboration as a significant step toward broadening the college’s horizons. She emphasized that the partnership will foster a new dimension of creative and community-centered inquiry among students and the wider NBSC community. Ms. Turalba spoke on the importance of grounding the national project in strong local partnerships to authentically capture regional identities.
The MOA signing solidifies a joint effort that champions the integration of artistic practice with academic research. This collaboration, organized by NBSC’s Research, Development, and Innovation Division (RDID), is poised to introduce innovative, arts-based methodologies to the college, promising new avenues for discovery and expression.
