NBSC attends POPCOM 4Q RPMC Conference
The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) attended the Fourth Quarter Regional Population Management Committee (RPMC) Conference of the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) Region 10 on December 12, 2022, in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
NBSC was represented by Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa and Mr. Rolan Mancha. The team was invited to present the initial results of the institutional research, Factors Influencing the Incidence of Teenage Pregnancy in Northern Mindanao, to all the population officers from the different provinces and cities in the region. Dr. Acuesa and Mr. Mancha were welcomed by the Regional Director, Mr. Neil Aldrin G. Omega, who conveyed his support and positive response to the conduct of the study and validation activities.
Director Omega also expressed the commission’s interest in funding the institution and the research team to conduct an exploratory sequential study on teenage mothers come 2023.
