NBSC Board Welcomes Two New Private Sector Representatives
The Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) appointed two new Private Sector Representatives (PSRs) on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, who will form part of the governing body.
The PSRs are expected to play a vital role in bridging the gap between the institution and the professional world by providing their insights and fostering partnerships with the private sector.
Mark Johnson Malagar, 35, is an IT professional who owns and manages a Bukidnon-based IT Solutions company, Webvision. His passion for the growth of the IT industry in the province made his timing suitable for the goals of NBSC in achieving academic excellence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Almer Alfonso, Sr., 71, is a physician and proprietor of Alfonso Farms. He is also adept in partnerships and linkages, given his engagements with various local governments in Bukidnon.
The addition of Mr. Malagar and Dr. Alfonso to the NBSC Board of Trustees further strengthens the College’s commitment to inclusive and collaborative governance, ensuring that its academic and development goals remain responsive to both local and global challenges.
