NBSC BUILDS STRONGER TIES, PROMOTES TRANSPARENCY AT 2026 SUPPLIERS’ SUMMIT
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held its Suppliers’ Summit 2026, themed “Building Stronger Partnership and Transparency,” on August 13, 2026, at the NBSC Covered Court, bringing together suppliers and concerned College offices to discuss key procurement procedures and requirements.
The summit covered several stages of the procurement process, beginning with the presentation of procurement processing procedures by Engr. Eleonor L. Navales, Procurement Management Office (PMO) Head. She discussed the steps and requirements involved in procurement transactions, giving suppliers a basis for checking how the procedures apply to their dealings with NBSC.
Sarah Mae B. Lariosa, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Supply and Property Management Office (SPMO), followed with a discussion on delivery, inspection, and acceptance procedures. She explained the requirements suppliers need to observe upon delivery of products or services, including the processes that must be completed before items are formally accepted by the College.
Jesse D. Lunzaga of the Legal Office discussed termination and blacklisting, particularly the circumstances and obligations that may affect suppliers in their contractual transactions with NBSC. Kristine Joy P. Gubaton, CPA, Director of the Finance Division, discussed payment processing and disbursement procedures, including the documentary requirements that must be completed before payments can be processed.
The open forum gave suppliers in attendance an opportunity to raise questions and share concerns about the topics discussed. The program also featured presentations of products by participating suppliers, allowing them to introduce their products and services to the College.
Through the summit, suppliers gained a clearer and more practical understanding of the procedures involved in transacting with NBSC. With the offices concerned directly explaining how each stage works, the summit helped open the way for more transparent dealings and closer coordination between the College and its suppliers.
