NBSC CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE THROUGH RECOGNITION DAY AND PAYS TRIBUTE TO PARENTS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held its Recognition Day and Tribute to Parents at the Manolo Fortich Municipal Gymnasium on July 15, 2026. Anchored on the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Honoring Sacrifice, Inspiring Purpose,” the event brought together students, families, faculty, and staff in recognizing academic excellence while honoring the unwavering support and sacrifices of parents and guardians.
NBSC President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE encouraged the graduates to measure success not by awards or positions, but by the kind of person they become and the positive impact they make on their families, communities, and the country. Guest speaker Dr. Manolito E. Parungao echoed this message, emphasizing that recognition reflects the choices, discipline, and perseverance that goes before every achievement. Representing the graduating class, Evarine B. Rayon, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student, shared that true success is rooted in perseverance, determination, self-belief, and faith in God. Meanwhile, parents’ representative Mr. Ruel S. Abunda reminded the graduates that genuine success is defined by good character and service to others, assuring them of their parents’ enduring love, support, and prayers wherever life may lead them.
The ceremony concluded on a heartfelt note as graduating students presented tokens of appreciation to their parents and guardians in gratitude for their unwavering support and sacrifices throughout their academic journey.
