NBSC Delegation Joins NRCP 2025 Annual Scientific Conference and Membership Assembly
A delegation from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) participated in the 2025 Annual Scientific Conference and 92nd General Membership Assembly of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) on March 13, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The team was composed of Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, director of the Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID); Dr. Christine C. Royo, Program Head of the Institute for Teacher Education; Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, Head of the Records and Archival Office; and Mr. Franco Ceasar Agbalog, Head of the Appraisal, Testing, and Admission Office and the Student Accounts, Scholarship Aides, and Financial Assistance Office.
With the theme “Empowering a Sustainable Future: Science, Technology, Social Innovation, and Human Capital in Global Challenges,” the conference brought together leading scientists, researchers, and policymakers to explore interdisciplinary solutions for national development.
Keynote speaker Hon. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, DepEd Secretary, underscored the importance of an education system that bridges learning and opportunity, ensuring future-ready skills for Filipino students. Other distinguished speakers included DOST Undersecretary Dr. Leah J. Buendia, NRCP President Dr. Aimee Lynn Barrion-Dupo, and NEDA Secretary Dr. Arsenio M. Balisacan, who highlighted policy reforms, human capital investment, and research-driven innovation.
Panel discussions tackled education and sustainability, industry and innovation, public policy, and research and development, emphasizing the role of science and technology in shaping a resilient future. The assembly concluded with the oath-taking of new NRCP members.
