NBSC HONORS ITS OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES AT THE 2ND PRAISE AWARDS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held its 2nd Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) ceremony on October 8, 2026, at the campus covered court. The College recognized outstanding personnel and offices who excelled and made significant and meaningful contributions to the progress of the institution.
The event officially started with a Welcome Message from John Kevin A. Artuz, MS, JD, PRAISE Committee Chair and Vice President for Administration and Finance, who expressed his gratitude to the committee members and extended his appreciation to all personnel for their work and efforts for NBSC.
In her inspirational message, Atty. Hannah D. Examen, RN, Assistant Regional Director of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region X, expressed her gratitude to NBSC on behalf of the Civil Service Commission for hosting the PRAISE Awards. She noted that the awards not only honor the awardees but also help strengthen the culture of recognition across government institutions. She reminded and encouraged the audience that, “When we go the extra mile, when we innovate to make systems better, when we show kindness and professionalism in serving the public, we embody the very values PRAISE seeks to honor. These awards that you are to receive tonight are not simply tokens. They are symbols of trust, gratitude, and the impact we leave in the communities we serve, particularly here at NBSC.”
Among the highlights of the awards was the Loyalty Award, where Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, head of the Learning Resource Center (LRC), was recognized for her 20 years of service to NBSC. The Income Generation Program Office (IGPO) garnered the “Ang Masinop” Award for the second consecutive year. Ms. Maria Socorro T. Bonita, head of the Registrar and Student Records Office (RSRO), also received the Best Employee Award for the Non-Teaching Category for the second consecutive year. Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, director of the Research Development and Innovation Division (RDID), received the NBSC Achievement Award, while RDID was also recognized as the Best Office Awardee.
The 2nd PRAISE Awards highlighted the people behind the College’s continuing progress and recognized the dedication, hard work, and commitment of its personnel and offices. The recognition also serves as NBSC’s way of appreciating those who consistently contribute to the institution through their work, service, and commitment to excellence.
