NBSC Joins Regional Writeshop to Strengthen Innovation Grant Proposal Development for FY 2025
The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa and faculty member Dr. Jonel C. Murillo, participated in the Capacity-Building Writeshop for FY 2025 Innovation Grants Proposal held on July 17, 2025, at N Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
Organized by the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development Region X (DEPDev-X), the activity aimed to enhance the competencies of government institutions in Region X in preparing high-quality and competitive proposals for the Fiscal Year 2025 Innovation Grants.
The writeshop featured a comprehensive presentation of the innovation grant guidelines by Mr. Florante D. Galura, Chief Economic Development Specialist, followed by a technical session led by Dr. Jinky B. Bornales, project leader of the Innovation thru Leveraging Industry, Government, Academe Networks and Inclusive Community Engagements (ILIGANiCE). Dr. Bornales provided in-depth insights on the use of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) in proposal development and offered practical guidance on proposal writing and form completion for innovation grant submissions.
The activity fostered active engagement and collaborative learning among participants, who were encouraged to explore creative and context-driven solutions to address pressing societal challenges. The one-day writeshop served as an empowering platform to cultivate innovation and excellence in public sector project development.
