NBSC NSTP holds virtual drug education forum
Manolo Fortich Bukidnon – NBSC National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office held a virtual Drug Education Forum on October 14, 2022. The activity was participated by NSTP faculty and students, which was meant to educate the youth on the dangers of illegal drugs.
The resource speaker from the 52nd Engineer Brigade Philippine Army, Cpt. Conrado C. Cangas (CE) PA-G2, shared how drug abuse and addiction develops and its adverse effects on the family, on the workplace, and on the society.
Cpt. Cangas also further discussed RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This included the offenses and penalty corresponding to the different dangerous drug, regardless of the quantity and purity involved.
An open forum was then conducted which addressed the questions of the faculty and students on the risks that come with substance use.
