NBSC-RDID HOSTS RSTU 10 FOR BENCHMARKING ON RESEARCH FRAMEWORKS AND INITIATIVES
Northern Bukidnon State College’s Research Development and Innovation Division (NBSC-RDID) hosted a benchmarking session with the Regional Special Training Unit 10 (RSTU 10) of the Philippine National Police Training Service on March 12, 2026. The visit focused on exploring NBSC’s research frameworks, ongoing research projects, and the strategic integration of research outcomes into academic programs and community engagement activities.
The RSTU 10 delegation, composed of Police Colonel (PCOL) Adolph C. Almendra, Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) Richzel B. Alucilja, Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Rey Anthony P. Paculba, and Police Chief Master Sergeant (PCMS) Jude M. Vallecera, was warmly received by the RDID team headed by RDID Director Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa. During the session, the officers engaged with the division to understand the best practices and operational protocols that drive NBSC’s research initiatives.
To conclude the benchmarking activity, the visitors were given a tour of the Indigenous Culture and Creative Innovation (ICCI) Hub, showcasing the institution’s commitment to cultural preservation and creative research.
This successful benchmarking engagement highlights the RDID’s growing reputation as a model for research management, proving that its internal systems are robust enough to serve as a reference for other government agencies. For the division, being selected as a benchmarking site validates its research frameworks and its capacity for inter-agency collaboration. For NBSC, this visit reinforces the college’s role as a regional leader in intellectual and professional development, demonstrating that the institution’s impact extends far beyond the classroom and into the realm of public safety and national service.
