NBSC RESEARCH TEAM SECURES DILG SUPPORT FOR PROVINCIAL GREEN LEADERSHIP STUDY
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) conducted a courtesy call with Director Bruce A. Colao, CESO V, Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region X, on March 10, 2026, through the research team behind the Green Leadership and Organizational Commitment in Environmental Sustainability (GLOCES) program. The meeting focused on presenting the research initiative and securing institutional endorsement for its implementation across the province of Bukidnon. The GLOCES study aims to evaluate the role of leadership and institutional commitment among local government units in advancing critical environmental sustainability programs.
Led by Project Leader Mr. Josefino M. Ladao Jr., MMBM, and Assistant Project Leader Ms. Sheila K. Maglente, DM, the delegation included project component leaders Mr. Jomar P. Suson, MBA, Mr. Rich Field M. Hilario, MBM, and Ms. Claire L. Nioda, MBM. Director Colao expressed strong appreciation for the initiative, noting the vital importance of research-based policy development in strengthening environmental governance at the local level. As a result of the engagement, the team will be formally endorsed to the DILG Bukidnon Provincial Office to facilitate a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the conduct of the research.
Forging this alliance with the DILG marks a significant milestone in how the college’s scholarly work influences local policy. By securing an official endorsement for the GLOCES program, the institution demonstrates the practical utility of its academic inquiries in addressing real-world environmental governance. This strategic engagement ensures that future scientific explorations within the province are grounded in high-level backing from the DILG, ultimately strengthening the college’s capacity to serve as a vital partner in regional sustainable development.
