NBSC Strengthens Gender Mainstreaming Through GAD Agenda Training and Strategic Planning Workshop
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon โ April 28โ29, 2025 โ In pursuit of its commitment to gender equality and inclusive development, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) conducted the GAD Focal Point System Training Workshop on GAD Agenda Crafting and Strategic Planning at the Pearl Olive Eden Garden and Event Venue in Tankulan, Manolo Fortich.
The two-day capacity-building workshop, held on April 28โ29, was facilitated by Dr. Rowena Antoniette Moonyeen S. Navera, a seasoned GAD resource person who traveled from Antique to share her expertise. The workshop aimed to guide the NBSC GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) in formulating a transparent and responsive GAD Agenda aligned with national frameworks and institutional priorities.
Participants engaged in intensive sessions, including an orientation on developing the GAD Agenda and a strategic planning workshop. The second day focused on crafting GAD goals, identifying and prioritizing gender issues, and translating desired GAD outcomes into concrete programs, projects, and activities (PPAs).

The workshop was a meaningful platform for fostering understanding and commitment to integrating GAD into the institutionโs core operations and culture. The participants, in turn, expressed their appreciation for the insights and strategies shared, which will serve as a foundation for future GAD initiatives at NBSC.
