Northern Bukidnon State College Opens Civil Service Month with Vibrant Celebration
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) officially opened its Civil Service Month celebration on September 2, 2025, with a festive lineup of activities that highlighted camaraderie, wellness, and a renewed commitment to public service. The event was held in observance of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) anniversary, carrying this year’s theme: “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”
The day began with a colorful parade from the NBSC field to the SWDC lobby, led by the ROTC Drum and Lyre Corps and ROTC Colors. College officials, employees, and students joined the walk, while the four wellness teams, Red Lion, Blue Eagle, Green Hornets, and Yellow Blazing Phoenix, energized the crowd with their vibrant shirts, banners, and props.
NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, welcomed the community with an inspiring message, setting the tone for the month-long celebration. Along with her message, she led a powerful meditation that fostered peace and unity among the faculty and staff.
The keynote address was delivered by the Director Maria Cristina Gorgonia T. Saligumba, Acting Director II of the CSC Field Office of Bukidnon, emphasized the role of civil servants in shaping meaningful public service. A plaque and a token of appreciation were presented to her after the speech.
Wellness teams displayed creativity and unity in the Cheers and Chants Presentation, followed by the much-awaited TikTok Clash Competition, where each team’s Muses and Escorts brought energy and flair to the stage with trend-inspired performances.
After the contests, employees took part in a lively Zumba for All session, underscoring the importance of health and wellness. The celebration continued with a Pampering Session at the SWDC lobby and ball games at the Manolo Fortich Municipal Gym, offering both relaxation and recreation.
The successful kickoff, organized by the Human Resource and Development Office (HRMDO) under the leadership of Miss Rahbie Adapdar-Teologo, RPm, underscored NBSC’s dedication to honoring the spirit of public service while strengthening unity within the college. The month-long celebration will continue with a series of activities, culminating on October 9, 2025.
