Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) warmly welcomed students as it kicked off School Year 2025–2026 with the ‘Week of Welcome’ (WOW) on August 18, 2025, at the NBSC Covered Court.
The week-long event started with a community mass presided by Rev. Fr. Antonio Villarin, who emphasized the importance of faith and values in academic and personal life. In his homily, he reminded the NBSC community that, “The real success in life is to be with God in heaven.”
Following the mass is a parade participated in by the faculty and staff, led by NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, as well as the proud students of NBSC. The event, which shall stretch until Friday, August 22, 2025 includes the general assembly and orientation.

She reminded students, “Habang nagsisimula kayo sa taon ng pag-aaral na ito, tandaan: ang inyong tagumpay at kinabukasan ay nakasalalay sa mga hakbang na gagawin ninyo ngayon.”
The orientation activities introduced various NBSC offices, their policies, and student services, while student clubs also set up booths to encourage participation and engagement among freshmen.
During the first day, Ms. Keren Happuch Lacadin, Project Leader for the ICT Industry Development Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), served as a resource speaker. She presented opportunities and projects that students can explore, particularly in the field of information and communications technology. The program was made possible through the dedication of the Student Affairs Services and Development Division (SASDD), headed by Director Rowena E. Bagongon, under the supervision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa.
