Indeed, NBSC continues to soar high on becoming the college of choice by attaining the standards, policies and guidelines set by the Commission of Higher Education.
Little by little, the world is now recognizing our beloved NBSC not only as the newest state college mandated by Republic Act 11284, but as a school providing educational opportunities to students from all walks of life preparing them to be socially responsible, competent, and productive professionals.

Northern Bukidnon State College Participates in 2024 Legal Congress
Officials of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) contributed significantly to the legal and human resources community by participating in the 2024 Legal Congress on Human Resource Management held at Paras Beach Resort, Mambajao, Camiguin, on October 14-16, 2024. The event gathered HR practitioners and elective officials to discuss and address critical legal issues impacting their roles. NBSC was represented at the congress by Dr. Helen E. Maasin, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, the Director of Libraries. Their presence underscored the institution’s commitment to staying ahead of legal developments and ensuring that its human resource practices align with the latest regulations and best practices.
The congress provided a valuable platform for participants to
gain insights into the complex legal landscape and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate challenges effectively. Through engaging discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees were able to enhance their understanding of labor laws, employment contracts, compensation and benefits, and other relevant legal matters. NBSC’s participation in the 2024 Legal Congress reflects its dedication to providing a conducive learning environment and equipping its faculty, staff, and students with the necessary tools to succeed in an increasingly competitive and regulated world. By staying informed about legal developments and engaging with industry experts, NBSC contributes to the growth and development of its community and the region.
NBSC Executives attend Investiture Ceremony of DDOSC’s New College President
October 11, 2024 – A delegation from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), led by Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, EdD, CESE, attended the Investiture Ceremony of the 2nd College President of Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC), Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay. The event was held at the DDOSC Activity Center.NBSC was represented by Dr. Helen E. Maasin, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Caroline Laarni R. Sereñas from the Planning Development Office; and Miss Khristine Joy P. Gubaton, College Accountant.The presence of NBSC officials at the investiture ceremony signifies their support for Dr. Matunhay’s new appointment and their commitment to strengthening ties with DDOSC, an institution that holds special significance for Dr. Ganiera, as its previous college president.Among the
distinguished attendees present during the investiture are Hon. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, DPA, the Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education, and the DDOSC Board of Trustees along with the PASUC President, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo to give their felicitations to the new president. The investiture ceremony marked a momentous occasion for DDOSC as Dr. Matunhay assumed leadership. NBSC HRMO Officials participate BLGHRMOAI Meeting
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) embarks its intention to solidify its prime goal of having Outstanding Human Resource Development through the participation of the recently conducted Bukidnon Local and National Government Human Resource Management Officers’ Association Incorporated (BLGHRMOAI) meeting held at Bukidnon State University last February 28, 2024.
Dr. Helen E. Maasin, Vice President for Administration and Finance along with NBSC’s HRMO Consultant, former Civil Service Commission Director, Lourdes B. Pelaez led the NBSC Human Resource Management Office delegates, Rahbie B. Adaptar-Teologo, RPm, Administrative Officer IV (HRMO II), Noreen Faye M. Esta, Administrative Officer II (HRMO I), and Ralph A. Bagotsay, Administrative Assistant II (HRMA).
The meeting served as a valuable platform for discussing current trends, policy updates, and various significant HR programs and innovations. Notably, participants gained valuable insights from the Acting Director IV of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region X and concurrent Director of the CSC Bukidnon, Director Noeme Rabe-Torres.
Engagement of NBSC key officials fosters its continuous commitment for continuous human resource development to safeguard quality service as steward of the government.
