NBSC MDRRM MANOLO FORTICH DECLARE SWDC BUILDING SAFE FOR OCCUPANCY FOLLOWING JOINT INSPECTION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) Office of Manolo Fortich, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC) Building on June 10, 2026, to assess its structural condition and ensure the safety of its occupants.
The inspection was led by the NBSC Disaster Response and Emergency Action Management (DREAM) Team headed by John Kevin A. Artuz, MS, JD, Vice President for Administration and Finance. Joining the activity were Benzar Glen S. Grepon, Incident Commander; Fritchar H. Gevero, Action Officer; Engr. Jestoni G. Tortola, Site Inspection Team Leader; and the College’s engineers and architect. The team worked alongside representatives from the MDRRM Office of Manolo Fortich led by Ms. Gina G. Olano and municipal engineers.
Inspectors conducted a thorough assessment of all floors and rooms within the building, examining the structure for any signs of damage that could affect its integrity and safe occupancy.
Following the inspection, the team convened for a briefing to consolidate and evaluate the findings. After careful deliberation, the joint inspection team declared the SWDC Building safe for occupancy.
By engaging partner agencies in infrastructure assessments, NBSC continues to strengthen its capacity for informed decision-making, enhance inter-agency coordination, and uphold campus safety. Initiatives such as this reflect the College’s commitment to maintaining a secure and conducive environment that supports both academic excellence and institutional operations.
