Northern Bukidnon State College Joins the Exploratory Meeting on the Planned Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA)
Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, the International Networking Director, attended the Exploratory Meeting on the Planned Brunei Darussalam – Indonesia – Malaysia – Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) – Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Network in Park Inn by Radisson, Davao City, last June 9-10, 2023. The activity aims to support the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) goals and objectives to contribute to ASEAN Community-building, helping Philippine Higher Education Stakeholders to create and expand access to educational opportunities through networking and partnerships.
The meeting was graced by Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, Regional Director of CHED RO XI, Atty. Joselito C. Alisuag, Director of CHED Regional Office MIMAROPA Chair and TWG for BIMP-EAGA, Dr. Rodrigo B. Giducos, Director IV of Investment, Promotion and Public Affairs Office of Mindanao Development Authority, Mr. Eric R. Aquino, Director of Department of Foreign Affairs Mindanao, Dr. Hanlie A. Taha, Director of Palawan State University Bataraza, and international officers of the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) of Mindanao and Palawan.
One of the highlights is the formation of P-EAGA Network (MinSuPala) and the commitment signing which forge collaboration for BIMP-EAGA objectives. Dr. Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa was elected as Regional Coordinator for Region X for the P-EAGA Network supported by Commission on Higher Education, Mindanao Development Authority, and International Affairs Service.
