NBSC IMO, CCS host ICT Proficiency Certification Diagnostic Examination
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College Information Management Office (IMO), led by Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, and the College of Computer Studies (CCS), headed by Ms. Shiela Mae M. Orozco, MIT, hosted the ICT Proficiency Certification Diagnostic Examination on August 9, 2023. This event was organized in partnership with the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The examination aims to assess an individual’s capability in conducting programming tasks or functions related to systems analysis and design. This objective is following PD 1408, which mandates the National Computer Center, now the DICT, and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to establish methods for determining an individual’s suitability for occupying advanced technical ICT positions. These methods also serve as the foundation for granting the appropriate ICT Electronic Data Processing (EDP) Specialist Eligibility.
Mark Ian M. Mendrez, DICT Project Development Officer II, along with Alvin V. Nuska, DICT Project Development Officer I, was present to administer the diagnostic examination, in which eighteen (18) examinees, consisting of IT students and professionals, participated.
