NBSC Advances Global Vision with Strategic Internationalization Workshop Led by MSU-IIT Experts
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) took strides toward global academic engagement through its recently held Strategic Internationalization Planning (SIP) Workshop on June 4–5, 2025, at the NBSC Research Laboratory Room in Kihare, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The two-day event brought together NBSC faculty and staff under the guidance of two esteemed experts from the Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT): Dr. Joey Genevieve T. Martinez, Vice Chancellor for International Affairs, and Dr. Mark Anthony J. Torres, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives.
MSU-IIT, a national leader in internationalization efforts, shared its proven strategies and institutional experiences, empowering NBSC to refine its roadmap for global collaboration. Dr. Martinez and Dr. Torres delivered keynote presentations that offered practical insights on forging strategic partnerships, enhancing student and faculty mobility, and aligning institutional initiatives with international rankings.
The SIP Workshop was spearheaded by NBSC’s International Affairs and External Linkages Office (IAELO), led by its head, Mr. Alven L. Gomez, and coordinator Maria Michaela Q. Jamora. With expert facilitation, the workshop enabled participants to craft a forward-looking Strategic Internationalization Plan aligned with NBSC’s mission of academic excellence and global competitiveness.
The event marks a significant milestone in NBSC’s journey toward becoming a more internationally connected institution. Participants praised the depth of insight provided by the MSU-IIT team and expressed renewed enthusiasm to pursue internationalization as a transformative force in higher education.
